Owner's Philosophy

With a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Nevada and post-doctoral experience at UC Davis in the Biochemistry Department, my journey took a meaningful turn in 2016. A colleague introduced me to the senior care field, and I realized that my skills and dedication could profoundly impact others' lives. This new path has allowed me to channel my knowledge and passion into improving the quality of life for seniors, a commitment that drives me every day.

I firmly believe in the importance of maintaining independence, respect, and dignity for as long as possible. Our care home’s philosophy is centered around enriching the lives of our residents physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Our goal is to maximize function, bring joy, and preserve dignity for each individual. Working in senior care is not only fulfilling but also brings immense joy and satisfaction.

I am dedicated to ensuring that every resident receives the care and support they truly deserve. Our resident-centered culture means that activities and meals are tailored to each resident's preferences and needs. Activities are thoughtfully scheduled throughout the day—morning, afternoon, and evening—to engage residents based on their personal likes and requirements. As we build trust and relationships with our residents, we continually adapt our approach to enhance their quality of life and foster a strong sense of community and belonging.

South Meadows (Google/Yelp sites) :
--Tonya R.01/11/21:
We moved our mother into this home after a horrible experience with another assisted living facility. I wanted to wait to post a review because it seemed like this place was too good to be true. Well, I was wrong about that because it is better than we expected! I talked to many providers before deciding to move mom to this place. Covid prevented me from visiting most places but the owner understood that I needed to be able to see where our mom was going to live. She took all of the necessary precautions when I did a site visit and when we moved mom in. (masked up, temp taken, stayed away from other residents and staff, etc. and explained this was a special circumstance to allow me to be inside).  Mom had to quarantine (even though she had just left a facility with clear covid test) but we all understood the reason.

In the month that she has been there, our mom has gained weight, does not decline any of the homecooked meals, is now engaging with staff and participating in the exercise program. All of which we were told she refused to do at the other facility. We were told she needed a "higher level of care" than what they could give her. I guess that meant that
they just needed staff to treat her like a human being that is someone's loved one because that is exactly what the owner and all staff do every day. Moving mom during covid was challenging, having a loved one in a facility where you can't visit is challenging but the daily videos showing us how she is thriving make it all worth it. I can't thank you enough for
those pics and videos. The Facetime options are great too because even though we can't visit in person, they have a dedicated phone for Facetime calls so we can at least feel like we are visiting. :)

We are so happy that there was an opening because we do feel that mom is getting the best care possible. Thank you Nucharee and staff for treating mom like you would treat your own family.

I would definitely recommend South Meadows Residential Care Home. We aren't able to keep mom at home with us but feel this is the next best place. Thank you again Nucharee for your compassion for taking care of our family.

Nucharee provides a warm and homey environment for the residents. The staff are fantastic and treat the residents like family. They all have fun together. I feel very lucky to have found a place where my mom will participate in activities. She loves South Meadows!

May 2022 Update:  Mom is still thriving at South Meadows!  We did have one unfortunate issue where she was admitted to the hospital in mid 2021 for a NON Covid related issue and ended up contracting Covid during her stay at there.  She was discharged with the intent of her going home on hospice.  Family came  to say their goodbye's and we were all preparing for the worst.   Well once again, Nucharee and her amazing team of professionals came to the rescue and guess what?  Mom is doing better now than she was before getting Covid!  Thank you from the bottoms of our heart for taking such great care of Janet.  She will be 85 soon and she is stronger and healthier now than she was when she first came to the facility 2 years ago.  Thank you!!!

Nucharee and her staff go to exceptional lengths to create such a wonderful and nurturing home environment for their residents. I must have visited at least a dozen homes when looking for a place for my father but I was immediately impressed upon visiting the facility and hearing Nucharee's philosophy on care that addresses physical and mental well-being. They do such a great job in developing a customized approach for each resident's care that keeps them engaged with the other residents/group activities and motivated to continue with their physical therapy.  Having dealt with my father's health issues over the past few years, I got to know several of the health care providers, nurses, social workers, case workers in the area; and I am not surprised when I hear that they also think so highly of Nucharee.  My father was so very happy and couldn't have been in better hands!

My 97 year old father was a resident of a corporately run facility nearby. While those folks were able to do well for him when he first went there (during covid) it became apparent that their model of service was not changing as his needs increased.

I was referred to South Meadows by someone in the business who knows about group homes and corporate facilities, especially the ones in this community. After a few visits to check it out, including random drop ins, it became apparent that the residents are more well cared for there than I could have imagined. The decision to move him became easy.

He's been there now for just about 8 months. Each visit I find him clean, wearing clean clothes, physically active, and engaged with others in the home. The food is good (I've enjoyed it too) and the facility is always bordering on spotless. It is apparent that Nucharee and her caregivers are uniquely gifted in their ability to not just care for these folks, they love them too. It shows. This is not your sterile, loveless, when is my shift over, care facility.   I thank god he is there and can sleep at night knowing he is safe.

I don't write many reviews, but feel so strongly about the care my wife has received the last several months that I absolutely have to. I really cannot express in words how truly deep and emotional is the care my wife has received from Joy (Nucharee), employee at South Meadows. From the first visit  I knew this was going to be the best place for my loved one and boy am I happy, relieved and grateful for all their care. My wife went into Hospice on the first day of moving onto South Meadows and the team there was instantly inclusive, welcoming and loving. First off the house is always bright and spotless. The food is fresh and nutritious and smells amazing every time I come to visit. The back grounds are beautiful with a garden and lots of fruit trees. My wife is always clean and bathed and in fresh clothing.  While she has difficulty communicating, she always expresses her appreciation and love for Joy and her team. Visitors and Pets are always welcomed like family and I always leave with a great feeling and so grateful about her living in with these living angels!
Thank you Joy and team!
